What is LARP?

Live-action roleplaying (or LARP) is a form of collaborative storytelling where players step into the shoes of characters in a shared world and bring their stories to life.

There are a lot of hobbies which intersect with LARP, for example:

  • If you enjoy things like tabletop RPGs like Dungeons & Dragons, you might enjoy the collaborative storytelling and action of LARP.
  • If you enjoy cosplay, you may enjoy bringing your character to life with creating new costumes and props.
  • If you enjoy camping, you can level up your gear to create immersive, in character camping spaces.
  • If you enjoy history, you might enjoy the historical fantasy of our fictional 18th Century world.

In this game, you take on the role of a Jaeger, a hunter of monsters, defenders of civilisation against the many forces of Evil. You’ll interact with other players, as well as with non-player characters (NPCs) as allies, rivals, and threats, all portrayed by members of the crew (or sometimes by fellow players volunteering their time).

Think of it as an unfolding story told together. Instead of sitting around a table rolling dice, you are your character – dressing the part, making choices in the moment, and shaping the direction of the narrative through your actions.

At its heart, Jaeger is about immersion; stepping into a living world of eerie folklore, balancing personal ambition with team work, perilous hunts, and discovering what story you and your fellow players will create together.
