Catering at Mainline Events
A mainline event are our numbered events “Event 1, Event 2, etc” which are usually hosted at Scout Camp venues.
As a player, you have two options at these events, which is to fully self-cater or to purchase a meal ticket from our catering partner.
As a crew member, your catering is included in your ticket. You may also have exclusive access to a separate crew kitchen from the caterers (site depending).
Self Catering
You can completely self cater at events to cut on costs and have more control over when you eat. However, when doing so please consider the following:
- No kitchen access. The main kitchens are for caterers and crew only. This includes for washing up and fridge access.
- Fire awareness. Keep all flames and heat sources at least 2m off of the ground and keep a small extinguisher close by.
- Stay hygienic. You are responsible for your own food safety.
- Clean up. Dispose of food waste and rubbish in designated bins. Leave no trace!
- At your own risk. Organisers and caterers aren’t liable for illness or injury caused by self-prepared food.
Double Nut Kitchen
Double Nut are our partner caterers for our mainline events. They are specialists in providing delicious catering for those with allergies and dietary needs. When purchasing a meal ticket, you will given a punch card meal ticket which will entitle you to meals for the entirety of the event including refreshments and snacks.
When purchasing a meal ticket, you agree to the following:
- One Ticket = One Person,
Each meal ticket is valid for one named individual only. This will be taken from your PayPal payment, if it is not your own account or preferred name please let us know.
Meal tickets are physical tickets that will be handed out as people sign in for Friday dinner. Please ensure you sign in as food will only be served to those with a ticket. Without your named ticket, we cannot serve you.
- Payment,
Payment for the meal ticket must be made before the deadline. After the deadline we will not be accepting any additional payments.
Purchases for food will not be available at the event.
- Dietary Requirements,
You must inform us of any allergies or dietary requirements even if you have told us before. Ensure you do this no later than two weeks before the event. If you forget to remind us, we can’t guarantee your safety during the event.
- Kitchen Access,
The kitchen areas are for caterers and authorised crew only.
It will be clearly signposted, please don’t enter unless you’re permitted to. This includes washing dishes or collecting water; a member of the game team can point you in the right direction for these.
- Snacks & Extra Servings,
Refreshments, snacks and meals are for ticket holders only. Including second helpings.
Second helpings are not guaranteed but may be available after all ticket holders have been served their first meal or at the behest of the caterers.
Giving food to non-ticket holders isn’t just unfair to those who’ve paid, it can potentially be dangerous. Our food is prepared for specific people and dietary needs. Giving food to someone who has not purchased a ticket could cause an allergic reaction.
Catering at Nocturne Events
Nocturne events will be more varied for catering options due to their experimental nature.
Some examples of catering could include a traditional banquet event which is included in your ticket, provided by the venue like a wedding barn or hotel. However, other venues may include airsoft sites which provide their own point of sale catering. Whatever we do, we will inform you well in advance of what the catering options will be.
